Pull Rules
Pull rules and driver requirements (** Revised May 2016)
- Driver Must be 18 Years Old or Older. Those 14-18 will be allowed to pull with written PARENTAL or GUARDIAN consent. NO ONE UNDER 14 IS ALLOWED TO PULL.
- For INSURANCE reasons, no inexperienced people or CHILDREN are allowe on the tractors on or off the track on the day of the pull.
- Driver must remain SEATED at ALL times and be in complete control of the tractor.
- Driver must have the tractor in NEUTRAL and hands in the air before the tractor is HOOKED or UNHOOKED from the sled.
- The driver and the tractor must cross the scale and weigh before each pull. If you return to the pit area before you pull, You musr Re-Weigh.
- ** The speed LIMIT is 4 MPH off the track. Speed limit on the track is 4 MPH for ANTIQUE tractors, 5 MPH for CLASSIC tractors, And 8 MPH for exhibition tractors. If you go over while pulling, you will be disqualified after the second BLAST of the Horn.
- he Tractor must stay in the boundary lines, or be disqualified. Intentional set bouncing will result in disqualification.
- If anything falls off the tractor while hooked to the sled you will be disqualified.
- One restart will be allowed if the tractor had traveled 50 feet or less.
- The pull will end at the reading taken if one of the following occurs:
A. Front end raises over 18 inches during the pull. All members will have chain or cable on the front of the tractor to show 18 inches rise of the front end.
B.The operator disengages the clutch.
C. The operator changes gears (example-torque amplifier).
D.The forward Motion of the sled stops. - There will be a refund made only if you are unable to continue competition due to a mechanical failure. All refunds for any reason must be made the day of the pull.
- No alcohol consumption will be allowed by the puller until after they are done pulling for the day. NO REFUNDS if disqualified under this rule.
- For a tractor being pulled more than once in a class, The first pull will be the qualifying pull.
- All exhibition pulls will pull last in their respective class.
- Registration will stop when pit meeting starts. For split pulls such as Brown County Fair, First half pullers by pit meeting and second half pullers when second half pull starts. Latecomers will pull exhibition only.
- A sign will be affixed to the tractor at the time of registration listing the name of the operator and pulling order in each weight class.
- There will be three judges appointed the day of the pull. protests must be made with a judge before the completion of the following class. You may contact the truck driver to locate a judge for you. The judges decision id final.
